EXPOSITION TEXT

Exposition Text

Exposition text is divided into two, namely hortatory exposition and analytical exposition.








Analytical exposition is a kind of text that present one side of the issue in a form of argument.merupakan teks yang mengelaborasi gagasan penulis tentang fenomena yang melingkupinya. Fungsi sosialnya adalah untuk meyakinkan pembaca bahwa ide itu penting







Hortatory exposition is an exposition text whose function is to persuade or convince readers about something that happened.fungsinya untuk membujuk atau meyakinkan pembaca tentang sesuatu yang terjadi.


The purpose of the esposition text is to explain or explain certain information so that it can increase knowledge for the reader.









TYPES OF EXPOSITION TEXT:

Based on the pattern of paragraph development, the exposition text is divided into several parts, among others.

1. Exposition of Definition

This exposition describes a certain topic in a definitive way, namely giving an explanation with meaning limitations.

2. Process Exposition

Exposition that describes the steps or ways of doing something or in making certain things.

3. Illustrative Exposition

This exposition aims to provide an overview of a real idea so that readers can understand it well. This depiction sees the similarity of properties from one topic to another with characteristics that usually have a conjunction like or like, and noun like.

4. Exposition to Controversy

This exposition contains topics that are explained in terms of contradictions, which are usually related to other topics.

5. Comparative Exposition

Comparing one another is the characteristic of this exposition text. In this way, the discussion of a problem will be clearer than by simply focusing on the problem itself.

6. Exposition of Classification

This exposition serves to group or divide something into certain groups. There are two patterns: homogenizing into one group or separating into other groups. Therefore, in making this exposition text a clear basis for classification is needed.

7. News Exposition

This exposition contains information usually found in the mass media which is actual and factual. The information raised is in the form of certain events.

8. Exposition Analysis

This exposition contains in-depth observations and then the argumentation section is discussed in stages.


EXAMPLE OF EXPLANATION TEXT

Weather Related Problem   

Every year thousands of people die, due to weather related problems. It can happen in both winter and in summer. Let’s examine the causes for a moment.

The year 2003 was a time of extreme cold in the winter. Extreme, that is by European standards. In Britain alone, the number of people who died from cold-related illnesses was described as ‘shameful’. Nearly twenty-five thousand people died from illnesses such as strokes, heart attacks, bronchitis, flu and pneumonia.

In the summer of the same year, around twenty-three thousand people died in Europe due to the sizzling temperatures. France was particularly badly hit, with nearly fifteen thousand death which were related to the sweltering heat. In Britain, the number of heat-related death was much lower than the number of winter deaths.

It is important to note that government need to give some advices to people on how to protect their health.

INVITATION

An invitation is an oral or written invitation that asks someone to go somewhere or do something.

Based on the type of event, the invitation can be in the form of a formal or informal invitation, depending on the activity being held.

1. Formal invitations

Formal invitations are invitations that follow a dignified form, tone or style in accordance with established norms, habits, or vavalue. For example: graduation, wedding, grand opening,Business Meeting Invitation,Student Guardian/Parents Meeting Invitation,Event Invitation.

This Formal Invitation is generally indicated by the abbreviation "RSVP" at the bottom of the invitation.

2. Informal Invitation

Informal invitation is a personal invitation given to a friend, family like birthday party, family gathering.

Informal invitations are not bound by rules and are freer. The appearance of the invitation can be colorful using cute colors and illustrations. But, of course there is some information that must be included on the invitation so that the recipient understands its intent and purpose.
